Emergency First Aid CPR/AED  Level C

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Emergency First Aid/CPR/AED Level C is a one-day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

*This is the class that suits the needs of the majority of people in a work setting. (we recommend checking with your employer. They may have added requirements.)*

COURSE CONTENT

  • The Red Cross

  • Preparing to respond

  • The EMS system

  • Check, Call, Care

  • Airway emergencies

  • Breathing and Circulation emergencies

  • Assisting with medications

  • First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest

  • Wound care

  • One-rescuer CPR and AED– adult, child and baby

  • Deadly bleeding

  • Jaw Thrust

  • Pulse check

  • Rescue breathing – adult, child and baby
