CPR/AED  Level BLS

This course used to be known as the Healthcare Providers (HCP) course. This class deals with emergencies in clinical environments. It teaches students single-rescuer and team life saving skills.  Some examples of professionals who would take this course are Nursing staff, medical and dental professionals, pharmacists and some care aides.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Emergency First Aid/CPR/AED course is a basic one-day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

The CPR/AED level BLS portion is designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation.
