Standard First Aid/CPR Level BLS Comes in Two Parts

Part one of this course is Standard First Aid with CPR and AED. This portion concentrates on first aid procedures in a public environment and is the course that meets the needs of most work places, such as most construction sites, offices, retail settings, etc.

Part two of this course is Basic Life Support(BLS). This course used to be known as the Healthcare Providers (HCP) course. This class deals with emergencies in clinical environments. It teaches students single-rescuer and team life saving skills.  Some examples of professionals who would take this course are Nursing staff, medical and dental professionals, pharmacists and some care aides.

*We recommend checking with your employer, or organization to see if this course meets your requirements.*

The Standard First Aid/CPR/AED course is a comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

The CPR/AED level BLS portion is designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation.
