The BLS portion of this course The BLS course is designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond. Teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
The emergency first aid portion of this course offers lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. This course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. This course is most commonly chosen by people looking for certification which is approved by the Nova Scotia Labour Board
Emergency First Aid/CPR with AED Level BLS (First time students)
This course is mostly for people who are in the healthcare profession, ie;
Nursing staff, EMT's, Pharmacists, Dental staff, etc. and also need emergency first aid.
We require twenty four hours notice for cancellation. If you fail to show up for your class without twenty four hours notice, you will be reimbursed your course fee, less a $40 administration fee, unless you reschedule for another date. In this case, your payment will be applied to your new course date and there will be no extra cost.
